I have been retained as a consultant with producer-screenwriter Ann Meine on her project Bittersweet. We are researching the career of the film star Jeanette MacDonald, whose films with Nelson Eddy contributed much of the prestige and profit enjoyed by the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studios between 1934 and 1942.
