ADRIAN

From the Ruby Slippers of Oz to the fashion runways of Beverly Hills, Adrian: A Lifetime of Movie Glamour is a panorama of the life and work of the man behind the most memorable fashions of Hollywood's Golden era.
Gilbert Adrian (1903-1959) designed costumes for over 150 films, gowns worn by Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, and Norma Shearer. He then went on to found the influential fashion label, Adrian, Ltd. His passion for art and interior design was also evident in the homes he shared with his wife, movie star Janet Gaynor, and in his fine-art painting.
This is the first book to draw on Adrian's unpublished memoir notes and on the Leonard Stanley collection.
